One of the most recent trends of today's world is the colossal upsurge in the use of school at typing and handwriting. There is a wide spread worry that this will only lead to a myriad of concerns in the society. In my opinion, handwriting has more negative impacts than positives in the educational institution.
On the one hand, critics may point out that one of the most significant benefits of handwriting is the natural way of writing without any machinery equipments.
On the other hand, there are a number of arguments in favor of my stance. one of the most preponderant one is that learning handwriting has negative consequences for the institution in the various ways. Firstly, children are not getting knowledge about modern technology because teachers are just teaching the way of handwriting, such as in the educational sectors. According to "Himalayan Times December 2020 edition", the proportion of Americans students in educational sector has dropped from 30 per cents to 12 per cents today. Secondly, a large portion of people has lost their enthusiasm and energy because of handwriting and is increasingly being lazier and less efficient.
Lastly, in my opinion, the government of Nepal is taking a great initiative in educating its citizens against the negative impacts of handwriting. Students are being encouraged to spend significant portion of their time in using computer equipments.
In view of the arguments outlined above, one can conclude that despite having some benefits, the drawbacks of typing at school in the country are indeed dire to ignore.
