One of the most conspicuous trends of today's world is the colossal upsurge in the use of school at typing and handwriting. There is a widespread worry that this will only lead to a myriad of concerns in the academy. In my opinion, handwriting has more negative impacts than positives in the school.
One the one hand, critics may point out that one of the most significant benefits of handwriting is that the written text can be attractive and clean. For example, pupils, unlike in the past now are more advance with the emerging technology.
One the other hand, there are number of arguments in favor of my stance. One of the most preponderant one is that good handwriting has negative consequences in various ways. Firstly, kids are losing their marks in their examination because maintaining good handwriting constantly may take too much time. According to "Himalayan Times December 2020 edition", the proportion of American children's in educational sector has dropped from 20 per cents to 8 per cents today. Secondly, a large portion of people has lost their enthusiasm and energy because of good handwriting and is increasingly being lazier and less efficient. Whereas, typing has more positive impact than handwriting in the educational sectors. Good typing can help us to get reliable jobs in future.
Lastly, in my opinion, the government of Nepal is taking a great initiative in educating its citizens against the negative impact of good handwriting. Citizens are being encouraged to spend significant portion of their time in typing rather than in good handwriting.
In my view of the arguments outlined above, one can conclude that despite having some benefits, the drawbacks of good handwriting in the school kids and pupils are indeed too dire to ignore.
